Sorry, not the best picture, but I didn’t want to upset Lola or disturb her babies. I avoid handling the kittens as much as I can when they are little as the mother can get stressed and try move them, not what you want.
Both Lola and her 5 babies are doing well.
Lola’s precious babies are a week and a half already.
Their eyes have all opened and their points are starting to show. Their coordination is improving and they are becoming more mobile every day.
Lola’s kittens are starting to realise there is life outside their box. When I walk past there is often a little face or two peeking out. It won’t be long before they start exploring.
And so the games begin… it always amazes me the jump in development between Week 2 and 3.
Love these sweet little faces.
Growing nicely! Was quite a mission getting pictures of all the kittens this week, they are all so busy now! For every decent shot I probably have 20 that are just a flash of fur.
Looking like 4 chocolates, and a lilac!
Apologies for not posting last weeks update, we had so much on we managed to lose a week.
We have started weaning Lola’s kittens, so far we have two of the five kittens on solids. The other three are quite stubborn, not wanting any of it! Patience…
Lola’s babies are getting into everything!
All of the kittens are now on solids, and are bulking up nicely. I am switching it up between raw mince and a variety of commercial kitten food so that they will adapt well to whatever their future slaves decide to feed them.
The carnage continues…
Lola’s tail has taken quite a beating this past week. All the kittens have been in on the game.
These sweet kittens have had their vet check and first set of vaccinations this week.
I can’t wait to introduce them to their prospective owners.
I can’t believe the kittens are 10 weeks old already. The time has flown!
I can’t sit down for two minutes without one of these babies (or three) settling on my lap. I’m going to miss this.
I feel like such a cruel mommy. I have had to shut the kittens out of my room at night so I can get some sleep, only to find them huddled in a pile outside my door in the morning…
They are very sweet, but the midnight shenanigans are just too much!
The kittens had their 2nd vaccinations and microchips done this morning. Only a week to go before they are due to go to their new homes…
I’m really chuffed with this litter. They are confident and very affectionate, and are going to make fantastic pets.
